Terms & Cancellations

Terms
EAT-WRITE-TRAVEL reserves the right to cancel any retreat for any reason. The refund of all payments received shall release EAT-WRITE-TRAVEL from any liability. The company is not responsible for any other expenses incurred by you in preparing to attend the tour, including hotel and airfare.

Retreat balances are due 90 days prior to the beginning of the retreat. If the balance remains unpaid at that time, EAT-WRITE-TRAVEL reserves the right to treat the reservation as cancelled, and retain the deposit paid.

EAT-WRITE-TRAVEL reserves the right to cancel any program should a minimum number of participants not be reached. The refund of all payments received from you shall release EAT-WRITE-TRAVEL from any liability to you. Please do not buy your plane ticket until we confirm the tour and your space.

EAT-WRITE-TRAVEL reserves the right to make any itinerary changes whenever, in its sole judgment conditions warrant. The retreat participant agrees that the tour operators will not be liable or responsible for injury, accident, sickness, or damage to participants or their property while attending the retreat. The acceptance of our written confirmation and a deposit or full payment for our services constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Cancellations & Fees
You may cancel your reservation at any time by sending a written notice. The following per person fees will apply:

After receipt of deposit and more than 90 days prior to the retreat: $50 for checks and transfers; $100 for Paypal.
90-61 days prior to the retreat: $500
31-60 days prior to the retreat: 50% of cost
There are no refunds within 30 days of the retreat.

The exception to these clauses is if either your destination or the US closes their borders or if either country has a full lockdown, which would result in a full refund at any time.

EAT-WRITE-TRAVEL strongly recommends the purchase of comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances, including medical expenses. Insurance during Covid is imperative. Research policies carefully to make sure they include cancellations on your part if you feel uncomfortable traveling with surging cases or the discovery of a new variant. Most policies now cover the cost of quarantine, which for the majority of healthy, fully vaccinated people is now the worst case scenario. CFAR (cancel for any reason) travel insurance may be more expensive than a basic policy, but it should cover everything, including any last-minute apprehension due to Covid.
