Italy– its art, food, and culture.

To truly know Venice is to explore its lagoon, travel its waterways, and discover its centuries-old cuisine, fished from its waters and grown in its gardens. Join Judyth Hill for a writing adventure exploring, and capturing on paper, the hidden corners of one of humanity’s greatest treasures.

Step off a boat and step back in time.

Our writing tour begins at the Locanda Cipriani on the island of Torcello. Opened since 1935, the Locanda became a literary legend after Ernest Hemingway wrote 'Across the River and Through the Trees' during his stay. His impressions and memories of Torcello are forever imprinted on the pages of his novel and as a result, the Locanda became a destination of choice for the exclusive world of European royalty and celebrities, world-renown artists and writers. Enjoy the Locanda’s extensive gardens, their elegant simplicity and tranquil environment--the perfect place for creativity and thought.
